Sprii
Live shopping that turns Facebook and Instagram comments into orders
Sprii lets a shop stream a live sale simultaneously to Facebook, Instagram and its own website; viewers buy by commenting a product code or clicking, and Sprii handles cart, payment, reminders and analytics. It grew out of Danish and Norwegian independent fashion and toy retailers, some of which now make a third or more of turnover through live sales, and has since been used by brands such as ONLY, Zizzi and MediaMarkt. The company reports 72,000 live events and €365M in customer revenue.
Our reading. Best for fashion, kids and home boutiques with an engaged Facebook or Instagram following that want to sell live without building their own streaming stack.
Strengths
- Comment-to-cart selling works for a single boutique with a phone as much as for a brand
- Multistreams to social channels and the shop's website with one checkout
- Built-in abandoned-cart reminders, overlays and gamification tuned for live sales
Limits
- Pricing on quote with a revenue-share component
- Requires an owner or staff comfortable presenting live on camera
- Most traction is in the Nordics and DACH; other markets are thinner
Founded 2021 (as ELISA), DKK 40M raised from Heartland and Nordic Makers, 3,000+ retailers but still loss-making and growth-stage
