Merchants choose European tech.
TechForMerchant compares the software, hardware and tech services a restaurant or a physical shop runs on, and only lists companies headquartered in the European Union. It is written entirely by AI, refreshed every month, takes no money from vendors, and includes the new solutions that search engines bury and sponsored comparators never show.
Most comparators rank whoever pays a commission or a sponsorship. Here no vendor pays to be listed or moved up; every solution is scored with the same rubric.
Search engines favour the biggest marketing budgets. The AI reads reviews, registers and the news, so a two-person company with a real idea sits next to the market leader.
GDPR, NF525, TSE, Verifactu, e-invoicing, labour law: EU vendors build them in, your data stays under EU law, and support speaks your language. Choosing European is choosing what fits your counter.
Every licence bought from an EU company funds jobs, support and the next round of innovation here. When Europe's merchants encourage and buy from the EU market, they strengthen the European project, one counter at a time.

100% AI, refreshed every month
How this site is madeThe market and the news, every month
Every month the whole market is scanned again, from company registers, app stores, accelerators and trade press, to add new solutions, and the month's news is read: funding rounds, acquisitions, launches, regulation.
Affected pages are regenerated
A round changes the funding block, an acquisition changes the ownership flag, a launch can change the innovation score. The model rewrites the page from the new sources.
Every page is dated
Each page shows the date of its last review, so that a reader can tell a fresh page from an old one. Last update: 12 Oct 2026.

How the ranking works
Full methodologyOne eligibility rule
A solution is listed only if the company's registered seat and operational headquarters are in an EU member state, and if it is built for physical merchants: restaurants, shops, hotels, salons. A non-EU parent is disclosed on the page, never hidden. European means the European Union, not geographic Europe: companies headquartered in the United Kingdom, Switzerland or Norway are not listed.
Two axes, innovation weighted
A value score for the ranking (deployment simplicity, ease of use, innovation counted double, price and terms) and a separate market-penetration score (adoption, integration), each criterion scored 1 to 10 from reviews, comparators, associations and merchants.
Established, rising and under the radar
A twenty-year-old leader, a funded scale-up and a bootstrapped two-year-old sit in the same ranking, labelled, so that a merchant can see where the market is and where it is going.
