Shopware is an open-source e-commerce platform with a free Community Edition and paid Rise, Evolve and Beyond plans adding B2B components, AI features (Shopware Intelligence) and support. It powers around 100,000 online shops, mostly in the DACH region, and is the leading German-built alternative to Shopify and Magento. Founded by brothers Stefan and Sebastian Hamann, it received $100M from Carlyle and PayPal in 2022.

- 9 Sep 2026 ProductShopware released version 6.7.14.0 of its commerce platform on 9 September 2026. The release adds built-in support for the EU legal guarantee notice and the GARAN durability label that become mandatory on 27 September 2026, with the notice available in all 24 official EU languages and displayed in the cart, at checkout, on the order confirmation and in transactional emails. Merchants set the GARAN label per product from the manufacturer's commercial guarantee and product variants inherit it. The release also moves more than 40 community translations into the administration interface, adds a flow template that notifies customers when a payment fails, and makes purchase on invoice available through Shopware Payments. A shop running Shopware can switch the guarantee notice on under cart settings and record durability guarantees product by product before the 27 September deadline, instead of building the wording itself.
