Zenchef
Commission-free reservation and guest management for restaurants
Zenchef provides an online booking widget, table plan, waitlist, deposits and guest database for restaurants, with no per-cover commission. It absorbed Formitable (NL), Resengo (BE) and Guestonline (FR), and in July 2025 merged with Spain's CoverManager. The combined group claims more than 36,000 restaurants in over 20 countries, including about 800 Michelin-starred venues.
Our reading. Best for independent and fine-dining restaurants in France, Benelux and Spain that want to own their guest data and stop paying per cover, and can budget €129 or more a month.

- 16 Jul 2025 AcquisitionFrench reservation platform Zenchef and Seville-based CoverManager combined under a holding majority-owned by PSG Equity, forming a group with 36,000 restaurants across 20 countries, led by Zenchef CEO Thomas Jeanjean. It is Zenchef's fourth deal in two years after Formitable, Resengo and Tablebooker, consolidating European restaurant booking software.
