PrestaShop is a free open-source e-commerce platform used by roughly 300,000 shops, with a large marketplace of paid modules and themes and a hosted edition for merchants who do not want to manage servers. It is particularly widespread in France, Spain, Italy and Poland. Founded in Paris in 2007 by Igor Schlumberger and Bruno Lévêque, it was acquired by MBE Worldwide (now Fortidia, Italy) in November 2021.
