ReceiptHero
Card-linked digital receipts sent automatically to banking and expense apps
ReceiptHero links an itemised receipt to the card or phone a customer pays with, so the receipt appears automatically in the customer's banking, fintech or expense app without scanning a QR code or giving an email. Merchants connect through their existing POS or payment terminal; the company works with Worldline, Payone, Verifone, Adyen, Ingenico and Oracle. The Tampere-based startup targets receipt-heavy sectors such as retail, restaurants and travel across Europe.
Our reading. Best for shops and restaurant groups on Worldline, Payone or Adyen terminals that want to drop paper receipts without changing checkout behaviour.
Strengths
- Zero-friction for the customer: no QR, no app, no email at the till
- Integrations with major terminal and POS vendors mean no hardware change
- Cuts paper receipt costs and gives merchants structured line-item data
Limits
- Value depends on how many banks and apps in a given country display the receipts
- Pricing on quote and rollout goes through partners, not self-serve
- Public merchant counts are not disclosed
