Tapaya
Tap-to-pay software that turns any phone, tablet or kiosk into a card terminal
Tapaya is a SoftPOS payment app and SDK that lets merchants accept contactless cards and wallets on the Android or iOS device they already own, with no dedicated terminal. It targets very small merchants (market stalls, salons, pop-ups, field services) directly and offers the same acceptance layer to banks, fintechs and software platforms that want to embed in-person payments. The company operates in the Czech Republic and lists coverage for 36 European markets.
Our reading. Best for micro-merchants and pop-ups in Central Europe that want to accept cards on a phone with no hardware, and for software vendors that want to embed in-person payments.
