iPad POS for Spanish hospitality (Revo XEF)
Revo XEF is a native iPad POS for restaurants with table, bar and takeaway modes, kitchen communication, real-time stock, a loyalty platform (InTOUCH) and multi-location management; Revo RETAIL covers shops. The Catalan company was acquired by French software group Cegid in October 2023, which described it as the most advanced restaurant POS in Spain. It is compliant with Spain's Verifactu invoicing rules.
Our reading. Best for Spanish restaurants and small chains that want a mature, Verifactu-ready iPad POS with loyalty and self-ordering from one vendor and can work through a distributor.

- 26 Nov 2025 AcquisitionCegid signed a definitive agreement to acquire Shine, the Copenhagen-founded fintech (formerly Ageras) offering business accounts, e-invoicing, accounting and payroll to more than 400,000 SMBs in France, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany; the deal closed in June 2026. Cegid intends to combine payments, e-invoicing, accounting and payroll for over one million SMBs and 15,000 accountants across seven European markets.
