Everseen
Computer vision that catches missed scans and theft at checkouts and self-checkouts
Everseen analyses live video from checkout and self-checkout lanes to detect non-scans, mis-scans and suspicious behaviour, prompting the shopper or an attendant in real time. Its platform is used by large grocers and general retailers in Europe, North America and Australia, and was extended to store-wide analytics with the Viztel acquisition in 2026. The company is headquartered in Cork with a second base in Herndon, Virginia.
Our reading. Best for large grocery and general-merchandise chains with self-checkout fleets and a shrink problem measured in millions.
Strengths

- Scale and references among the world's largest grocers
- Platform now covers queue, shelf and safety analytics beyond loss prevention
Limits
